The Halstead Historical Society hosted an Ice Cream Social in Riverside Park on June 21, 2005. Donations were accepted. Many supporters brought a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the event. This Ice Cream Social is the Historical Society's way of saying "Thanks!" for everyone's support this past year. Supporters enjoyed:

• Homemade ice cream, pie and cake
• Good listening music by Mike Flavin, guitar and vocal
• Conversation with friends and family
